Our 2nd round

     Our first game this season was "Spirit Black" The game results was a win with the score 2-0. Today's game was our 2nd round with this team at their home field. I admit this team was well prepared for the match and showed their talent and force in the beginning of the match as they scored the first goal, nothing but net on a well formed play. Because of that goal, the game took a turn as the "Lightning" felt the sting and delivered 2 goals within the next five minutes of play before the half and an additional 3 goals after half for a 5-1 victory! 

Halfway through season

     I am happy to announce that we have played all teams in our division and our standings are 7 wins 1 loss 40 goals scored and 6 goals against in the 8 games we have played.

     Starting Saturday we repeat the schedule playing the teams at the opposite site from the beginning of the year. Our only loss was week 2 against the Rangers and this time we will play them at home.

Fourth and fifth game

     The fourth game I can not comment on as I missed it. So All I can do is report the results here or you can click the link at the right and get the entire stats but I am happy to say the team won 10-2.

    The fifth game was actually a very good game as well. Not much to report here other than the out come which I admit was a surprise as I expected a high score game last week but this weeks 9-1 win was nice and unexpected.

Second & Third Game

     Sorry about the lack of posting. However the second game was a good game although we lost 2-1 it's with great regret that I admit we basically scored all 3 goals. The only 2 points for the other team were an unfortunate rebounds off our own players and not full on deserved shots. 
     The third game was another good game putting down a win 4-0 making that a total of 2 shut outs or 3 if you don't count last weeks goals. Our defense with Austin as Captain is ranked #1 in the division out of 3 games only allowing 2 goals (our own misfortune) as the best team in the division has 4 points against them and happens to be the same team that beat us without shooting a goal.

First Game 10-19-12

Was an exciting game with a score of 2-0 as the Nature Coast Lightning post a win for their season and contribute to one of their team goals to have 5 shut outs this year. Sorry no pics this game. Make sure to click the results on the right to follow the seasons progress.

D-2 Tournament weekend

Not a bad weekend in all but a wet one for sure.  The team played some good teams and gained some play time.  In the long run the team will benefit from this weekend as there is a good chance we will see these teams in the season.  The following pictures where taken at this weekends tournament and the one goal video was from the Citrus United game we won 4-2 and was the 3rd goal in that game.
